Cast aluminum alloy wheels
each have three hollow spokes. The 3.00 x 16-inch front wheel
carries a 130/90-16 tubeless tire and the 3.50 x 15-inch rear
wheel carries a 150/90-15 tubeless tire.
The Marauder's
powerful, high-compression, 805cc V-Twin engine is tuned for
acceleration and throttle response. Each 83mm piston breathes
through four valves operated by an overhead cam. Suzuki's
patented Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) cylinder head
design and dual 36mm carburetors deliver fuel-efficient
performance with the emphasis on real-world torque. Automatic cam
chain tensioners are built into the cylinders, avoiding external
bolt-on tensioners and preserving the engine's simple lines.
A five-speed gearbox delivers
the Marauder's power to the rear wheel through a low-maintenance,
strong O-ring chain. The cable-operated multi-plate wet clutch
has eight coil springs for smooth, predictable engagement. A
back-torque-limiter system built into the clutch makes downshifts
smoother.
